Our Story
WeRIsrael is part of the B.D. Graiver Group, a long-standing Israeli tourism company. Graiver is an historical company, founded more than 60 years ago by Boris Dov Graiver and his wife Zipora Graiver.
Boris Dov Graiver started out as a customs broker in the small town of Rosh Pina in the 1950s. On moving to Haifa, he founded B.D. Graiver Tourism Services that, for many years, operated as a family business, offering outbound tourism services and cruises from its offices in downtown Haifa. For many Israelis, Graiver has been the company with which they set out to see the world.
The second generation joined the company in 1969, when Dov and Zipora’s youngest daughter, Ronit, came to work at Graiver. The company continued to grow and develop under her stewardship and in the 1980s, a new partner came on board – Ofer Adler.
Ofer worked hard to further grow and develop the company, and in the 1990s, recruited Joel Bloch, an experienced and seasoned tourism professional. Together, they established Graiver’s incoming tourism department – WeRIsrael.
WeRIsrael has operated in the incoming tourism market for over 30 years, bringing countless tourists the world over to Israel. Over the years, the department has specialized in pilgrims and pilgrimage tours from many countries to Israel.
Tamar Adler-Furman, Ofer’s daughter, came on board in 2015, and was joined shortly after by her spouse, Etay. Together, they established the department specializing in educational visits to Israel.
WeRIsrael is a leading Israeli operator of incoming tourism from all over the world - Christian pilgrims, Jewish federations and organizations, delegations of universities from abroad, associations, families and individuals. Since its establishment, the company has brought tens of thousands of tourists to Israel, and when they return for another visit to the country, they choose to do so with WeRIsrael, their second family in Israel.
