      Israel and Jordan - JaFFA

      Day 1: Airport - Tel Aviv

      Welcome to Israel!
      Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
      Welcome by a representative of WeRIsrael and transfer to Tel Aviv.
      Start your Holy Land experience by sightseeing in Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
      Visit Old Jaffa with its ancient port as well as the traditional house of Simon the Tanner where Peter had a vision.
      Walk through the ancient streets of Jaffa, check out the small artists' shops and studios, and feel like you are walking in a unique Middle Eastern city.
      If time permits, take an afternoon walk in the city of Tel Aviv. Get to know the fascinating history of the city while walking in the picturesque streets of the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, the first Jewish neighborhood built outside the walls of Jaffa.
      Overnight: Tel Aviv

      Israel and Jordan -Haifa

      Day 2: Caesarea - Haifa

      Open your eyes to a lovely and relaxing view of the Mediterranean Sea.
      Start the day by driving along the shoreline to Caesarea.
      See the remains of the once magnificent port built by Herod the Great as well as the ancient theater and the Hippodrome. See the site where Paul appeared before Festus and King Agrippa before he was sent to Rome, and simply enjoy the air and the view of the Mediterranean Sea.
      Drive to Haifa, the capital city of the north of Israel.
      Drive along Panorama Road, visit the Bahai Gardens - World Center of the Bahai denomination.
      Overnight: Haifa

      Israel and Jordan - Nazareth

      Day 3: Acre - Cana - Nazareth

      Drive to Acre, a major Canaanite and Phoenician port. Visit the Fortress of Acre, the Great Mosque, the walls of the city of Acre, and the Knights’ Halls.
      Drive to Nazareth. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Church, and Mary’s Well - the only source of water in ancient Nazareth.
      Drive to Cana (Wedding Church) where Jesus performed the miracle of the Marriage at Cana.
      If time permits, drive to Golani Junction and “Plant a Tree in Israel”.
      Drive to Tiberias and before arriving at the hotel, enjoy the view of the Sea of Galilee from the cliffs of the Arbel mountain.
      Overnight: Tiberias

      Israel and Jordan - Sea of Galilee

      Day 4: Sea of Galilee - Tiberias

      Open the curtains in the hotel and reveal the sight of the magical shores of the Sea of Galilee.
      Start the day on the Mount of Beatitudes to recall the Sermon on the Mount. Go down by foot (optional) to the shore, enjoy the view, and recall some of Jesus's most famous parables, which were probably inspired by these surrounding. Visit Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of bread and fish and see the outstanding Byzantine mosaic floor of the Church of Multiplications and the Mensa Christi Church.
      Continue to Capernaum to see the town that Jesus chose as his home. Visit the recently excavated site of Magdala where a 1st century synagogue was discovered.
      If time allows, visit Kursi on the other side of the lake to see where Jesus healed the men possessed by demons.
      Take a boat ride in the sunset, on a boat resembling that of ancient times.
      Overnight: Tiberias

      Israel and Jordan - Jerash

      Day 5: Jerash – Amman (Jordan)

      Cross over to Jordan via the Sheikh Hussein Border Crossing.
      Visit Jerash. Jerash boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. The city's golden age came under Roman rule and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. From there, drive to Amman.
      Visit Amman and its surrounding regions. Amman is referred to in the Bible as Ammon or the Ammonite Kingdom, which was famous for its springs and citadel. Amman is a fascinating city of contrasts – a unique blend of old and new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley.
      Drive to Petra.

      Day 6: Petra

      Petra is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a Unesco World Heritage Site. There is no doubt that it is the most valuable treasure and the greatest tourist attraction in Jordan.
      It is a unique city that was carved into a sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for silk, spice, and other trade routes that linked China, India, and Southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece, and Rome. To explore the spectacular treasures of Petra (also called The Red-Rose city half as old as time), enter through the impressive narrow gorge (Siq), that leads marvelously to the magical monument, where you can glimpse the Treasury, continue on to the street of facades, the Royal Tombs, the Cardo, temples, churches, museums, etc.
      Overnight: Petra

      Israel and Jordan - Wadi Rum

      Day 7: Wadi Rum

      Drive to Wadi Rum and take a 2-hour tour in a 4x4 Bedouin jeep.
      Wadi Rum, which means Valley of the Moon, is where Prince Faisal Bin Hussein and T.E. Lawrence based their headquarters during the Arab Revolution against the Ottomans in World War I. Their exploits are intrinsically woven into the history of this amazing area.
      Among the amazing and fascinating monuments and sites of Wadi Rum, you will see Lawrence's Spring, Khazali Siq Canyon, sand dunes, Thamudic inscriptions, Burdah Rock Bridge, and more. Drive back to your hotel in Petra after this stunning day.
      Overnight: Petra

      Israel and Jordan - Mosaic Map

      Day 8: Madaba - Mount Nebo - Allenby Bridge

      Continue on to visit Madaba and Mount Nebo.
      Madaba has a rich history, dating back to the days of the Bible and is known as “The City of Mosaics”.
      Madaba offers many sites to explore; amongst them is the marvelous Byzantine mosaic map, dating back to the 6th century. The mosaic is situated in the contemporary Greek Orthodox church of St. George, and depicts the Middle East area, especially the Land of Israel and Jerusalem.
      The last site to see before leaving Jordan is the fabulous Mount Nebo.
      Mount Nebo is one of the most revered holy sites in Jordan and where Moses stood and looked at Israel before he died.. Visit the small Byzantine church that was built here by early Christians. Stand on the platform in front of the church and admire the view over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. You can see as far as the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, and the view is breathtaking.
      Cross the Allenby Bridge into Israel.
      Overnight: Dead Sea

      Israel and Jordan - Massada

      Day 9: Qumran – Masada - Dead Sea

      Drive to Qumran, visit the site of the Essene community, and view the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
      Drive to the Masada Fortress: Ascend and descend by cable car, take a walking tour of the fortress, and learn why the site became a symbol of Jewish heroism.
      Continue to the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth! Experience floating on the Dead Sea and cover yourself with healthy mud!
      Drive to Jerusalem.
      Overnight: Jerusalem

      Israel and Jordan -Western Wall

      Day 10: Old City of Jerusalem

      Today, you will discover the variety of cultures, customs, tastes, and smells of the Old City in Jerusalem, one of the most interesting places in the world!
      Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Walk down the Mount and see the old Jewish cemetery, then continue to the Garden of Gethsemane. Walk through the Old City. Visit the Pool of Bethesda at the St. Anne's Church. Continue through the Via Dolorosa, Lithostrotos, and Ecce Homo Arch, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
      Visit Mount Zion, including the Tomb of David and the Room of the Last Supper. Walk through the Jewish Quarter to see the Western Wall and the Cardo Maximus, a Roman street.
      Walk through the Oriental bazaar and buy your family a nice souvenir from the Holy Land!
      Overnight: Jerusalem

      Israel and Jordan - Flight Back

      Day 11: New City of Jerusalem - Bethlehem

      Drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity and Shepherds Fields Chapel
      OR
      Do a tasting tour in Machane Yehuda, the famous market of Jerusalem. Visit the different stands and discover the unique and fascinating stories behind the people there. Experience the market through the stories, the people, the smells, and the atmosphere.
      Take some time to shop in the market. Ask your guide which is the best shop to buy spices to take home!
      Visit the Israel Museum to view the “Shrine of the Book” (exhibition of the Dead Sea Scrolls) and a model of Jerusalem from the time of Herod the Great.
      Visit Yad Vashem, the memorial museum for the victims of the Holocaust.
      Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv for the return flight.
